I was lucky to work on the Love Parade in the period 1995 – 2003 in Berlin, yes , the real , truly Love Parade , that stood for something
…
We build trucks for recordcompanies as Bonzai and clybs as La Rocca, tv stations JIM tv and others like City Parade .
We worked very hard every second weekend of july and sleep near ‘Die Schwangere Auster’ .
We loved our work and worked with people like Maiqe Schnur, Ralf Regitz , …who had the same feeling as we .
When we came back in Belgium, we were heroes , because we were part of the biggest event in the world with a message , with a heart : LOVE PARADE.
In 2003 , i stopped because my company was getting big and we do other activities.
In the time, i had kids , lots of succes , money and houses and agood company.
But when someone asked me what the biggest event was and in which i had the most fun and HONOR , i always said :
I was a memeber of LOVE PARADE BERLIN, the one and only.
I’ve seen Dr. Motte in belgium, couple oof years ago , and had acouple of drinks with him. He is what he says.
When we said goodbye , he kissed me and gave me an autograph.
Last saturday , when i saw the news , i cried. Not only for the victims but also for the shame that they brought on
OUR Love Parade. We worked so hard, so proud and still , but is it ruined by a couple of nobodies…
I’ve been interviewed by lots of Belgian Press and tv and told this story.
Love Parade had to stay in Berlin on his holy ground and organised by people wwho understand the spirit behind the parade.
We will always be proud on our LOVE PARADE , the one who was in Berlin
