Berlin, 20 February 2023 – In about five months, the second edition of Rave The Planet Parade will be held in Berlin. The date for the currently largest techno demonstration in Germany is Saturday, 08 July 2023. Until the end of this month, cultural workers (e.g. clubs, festivals, labels etc.) can apply for participation. Also, a design competition is currently being held to find the best ideas for this year’s parade artwork.
“Music Is The Answer” is the motto for the 2nd Rave The Planet Parade wich will take place on the traditional second weekend of July (former date of the Berlin Love Parade). On Saturday, 08 July 2023, the non-profit organization rave the planet gGmbH once again calls for the demonstration in Berlin, to march for the preservation of electronic music culture and the recognition of its cultural and social achievements, as well as for peace on earth.
Until the end of February, cultural workers are invited to apply with creative concepts for participation with their music trucks in the parade. A total of 25 so-called “floats” will be selected from all submissions. Thereby, Rave The Planet pursues the curatorial intention to be able to represent the electronic music culture in the greatest possible variety. When selecting the applications, special attention will be paid to the musical content and the visual design, in which the integration of the purpose of the demonstration will also play a role.
The concepts must be submitted by 28 February 2023 at the latest, via the official application platform of Rave The Planet. All details and information about the participation are available for download at here.
